Marshall, MI – BluFish Consulting moves on to win Two Gold
ADDY awards in the Sixth District of the American Advertising Federation held in
Muncie, Indiana.
Of more than 550 entries from three states – Indiana, Illinois and Michigan
only 61 Gold Addy’s were awarded. Winners now go on to the National ADDY Award
competition to be held this summer.
“We appreciate so much the fact that our client gave us full creative freedom
to do what we do best – think strategically and creatively out of the box
and it is continuing to prove itself,” Bill Traver said.
The winning campaign for Marshall Area Chamber and Marshall DDA won in tough competition.
“It’s especially a nice win when you think we had all of the Chicago
ad agencies in the pool of competition. We credit our creative team and the great
clients that allow us to do great work”, said John Thompson, Brand Manager
at BluFish that worked on the campaign.
The Marshall campaign continues to get high marks due to the simplicity of the design
and message. Billboards are probably one of the most complicated to create due to
the fact that typically they are support medium. People tend to either want to make
the messages too long and over-complicated making it impossible to read and understand.
Or, billboards are just plain not interesting or conceptual. Billboards are
typically supporting other major components of a campaign such as TV, print or radio.
In this case, the series of billboards were created to build awareness of Marshall’s
unique retail and historic interest.
