BLUFISH WINS BIG AT 2010 ADDY AWARDS
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – BluFish Consulting won three silver and a gold at the 2010 ADDY Awards for work they produced for BDS Suspensions and Bums Beach Grill. The 2010 awards were announced at the annual Ad Club of West Michigan ADDY Awards, February 25, 2010 at The Intersection in Grand Rapids.
The ADDY Awards, the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition recognizes creative excellence and the very best advertising as part of a three-tiered competition. After competing for recognition as the best in their markets, local winners then compete within one of 14 district competitions. District-winning entries are forwarded to the national ADDY Awards Competition for the final evaluation of creative excellence.
The Ad Club of West Michigan is a non-profit industry association that serves more than 1,000 West Michigan industry professionals throughout the region to promote professional excellence through education, advocacy, networking and community affairs. Ad Club members work in many different fields, including advertising, marketing, communications, public relations, printing, video production and graphic arts. Of the over 500 submitted entries, BluFish won a gold ADDY for creative excellence in the collateral category for their work with Bums Beach Grill’s poster campaign. Bums is entering their second year of serving the summer crowds that head to South Haven, MI. One of the winning headlines in the campaign read “100% pure beef. Unlike that Guy in the Speedo.” They were also recognized with 2 additional silver ADDY’s for individual posters for Bums Beach Grill in the same collateral category. BluFish received another silver ADDY in the sales promotion category for creative packaging they produced for BDS Suspensions, rounding out the night with 4 total awards. BDS Suspensions specializes in truck lift suspension kits and is headquartered out of Coldwater, MI.
